The Southern Sudanese Community of Washington (SSCW), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2003, is uniquely positioned to positively impact the lives of thousands of Sudanese refugees and immigrants in Washington State. We strongly believe that southern Sudanese in our community need the support that comes from mentorship, fellowship, and enjoyment of their own culture. Working together, our volunteers and the southern Sudanese who make up our Board of Directors are helping refugees from Sudan lead successful lives in their new country. If you are from southern Sudan, and are living or have just arrived in Washington State, we provide the following services:

• Education for children and adults
• Family and job assistance
• Women’s programs
• African assistance programs
