Goodsearch donates approximately 50% of all its ad revenue to various nonprofit organizations, and now you can choose to donate to SSCW! Simply go to the site (goodsearch.com), type in 'SSCW' in the lower text box labelled 'Who do you Goodsearch for?', and then search away! Searches are automatically recorded, and the more you search, the more is donated to SSCW. ( categories: News )

Funds Needed for Children of Jesika Wani and James Wani SokaSubmitted by benwei on Sun, 2006-05-14 21:20.
Homicide-suicide in Covington leaves four children orphaned In the wake of the tragic murder of Jesika Wani and suicide of James Wani Soka on December 12, 2005, the Southern Sudanese Community of Washington is encouraging the public to make donations to the Wani and Jesika Fund to help support their four children, ages 2, 4, 14, and 17. The Wani family relocated to the Puget Sound region in 1995 from a refugee camp to escape the brutal civil war in their native country of Sudan. They were originally from Kajikaji, near Juba in Southern Sudan, and had to flee their village on foot during an attack by government troops from Northern Sudan. ( categories: News )
